It has been very noticeable in creating this web site that Bosch has considerable dominance in the electric garden shredder market. It’s not much of a surprise – we have been Bosch Shredder users for several years.
What is striking is Bosch’s commitment to this market space. We have reviewed the excellent AXT 2200 Rapid and the AXT 25TD quiet shredders. The AXT 2200 is primarily aimed at garden owners who predominantly shred green waste. The AXT 25TD is primarily for woody waste. The problem with the AXT 25TD is that is will jam if you put much green waste. Auto reverse and overload protection doesn’t really help the user experience.
Enter the Bosch AXT 23TC and 25TC. These models have turbine cutting mechanisms which are meant to cope equally with woody and green waste. We will post our review of the AXT 23TC shortly – early views are that Bosch have another winner even if it is a little expensive.
